The Intentional Networker™ was written as a refer-to-often field guide that offers stories, techniques, and tips gleaned from Patti’s career and experiences as a communicator, entrepreneur, connector, and consultant. To date Patti’s work represents millions of dollars in projects and connections. She has also served, impacted, and helped create positive results for thousands of clients in a multitude of industries, including: high tech, healthcare, fashion, cosmetics, associations, non-profits, education, media, finance, energy, real estate, and others.
Patti believes strongly in “giving back” to her industry and is Past President of the Austin chapter of the National Speakers Association. She was named NSA Chapter Member of the Year in 2014 and selected soon after to serve on NSA’s Chapter Leadership Council. During her three-year term as part of this committee, she helped rewrite/redesign and delivery NSA’s chapter leadership training curriculum. This program helps the association build stronger chapters and chapter leaders and focuses on Membership, Money, Management, Meetings, and Marketing. Patti served as lead on the Membership sub-committee.
In 2008 Patti was selected as one of 40 female entrepreneurs from across North America to be featured in Mary Ann Halpin’s book Fearless Women, Fearless Wisdom (http://www.fearlesswomenmag.com/fearless-women-book.html ).

Back in the 1990s, Patti founded of what is now known as Freelance Austin (www.freelance-austin.org), a networking and professional development organization for business-minded freelancers, consultants, and solopreneurs. She also has served on leadership teams with the Association of Women in Communications.
In recognition of her ongoing leadership and contribution to the Austin business community, the Austin Business Journal chose Patti as a Finalist for its Profiles in Power Award in 2012. The Austin Professional Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications honored Patti with both its Outstanding Chapter Member and Mentor Awards in the 1990s. She has also been nominated for AWC’s Outstanding Austin Communicator and Creative Initiative Awards, the Austin Women’s Chamber of Commerce Spirit of Women Award, and Working Mother Magazine’s Raising a Ruckus Award.
Patti’s interests include good conversation, cycling, swimming, hiking, reading, jewelry-making, painting and spending time with family, friends and her dogs, Maggie and Kodiak. She is a fan of good coffee (during the day) and good wine (in the evenings).
